Inspired Alliances

A holistic way to improving emotional health.

Let me show you how I can help you:

Welcome

Remember the famous closing line of the Jules Dassin film, The Naked City?  "There are eight million stories in the naked city; this has been just one of them."

Well, here's a piece of my story.

I've always been the person people tell their story to. It just happens. There's nothing I can do to stop it--not that I would want to stop it anyway.  I'm an empathic listener with a sincere inquisitiveness about the psyche of people, places and things. My cousin Peter used to call me "The Answer Grape" (an old tv commercial reference); not because I had all the answers but rather, I asked a slew of questions.

One of the great things about this empathetic ability is that I can usually begin to hear what's not being said. Then I ask a question about that. It's not always the question the other person wants to hear. It's doesn't always elicit the emotion the other person expects. But, people respond to the questions I ask and allow their emotions to bubble up to the surface because they feel safe to explore unchartered territory with me.

My life's journey continually brings me to unexpected and disparate places--from a New York corporate boardroom to a humble abode in Bangalore. Each chapter in the journey informs the approach I take to psychotherapy, organizational development and teaching. I carry forward the life lessons I've learned along the way. Those lessons go into my personal toolkit and I pull them out when I really need to apply them to a situation in the present.

I am a conduit.

When we work together, I provide a metaphoric channel through which we will explore what is or isn't working in your life, thereby tapping into your innate the potential for genuine self-discovery and increased conscious self-awareness.

Thirty years of karma yoga practice, coupled with two dozen years working in both the corporate sector and in academia bolster my clinical experience.  Therefore, you get the benefit of a seasoned practitioner with a broad assortment of tools, skills, knowledge and capability.

Starting (or renewing) therapy is a lot like opening up a locked and padded door coated with spiderwebs: The task seems messy at first but then, you find the right key and the emotional doors begin to creak open. Change happens.

This is as true for organizations as it is for individuals, couples, families or groups. In organization's it may be called an internal audit or reorganization but; make no mistake about it: The process of ferreting out what's not working in an organization is quite similar to an individual's therapeutic process. Why wouldn't that be so? Organizations are made up of individuals, afterall.

As you read through the site you'll get a clearer picture of my work and specializations. I appreciate the time you take to find the best possible match for you and what you want to create.

It may have taken a while for you to get here but no worries--you're in safe hands now.
